Have you ever dreamed of the perfect life with your partner? Dreamed of a paradise that only you two could share together? Dreamed of a time filled with joy, hope, sureness - a type of sureness like you knew, as if deep down you knew that it would happen?
If you have, then this is poem is for you.
Let me dream
her.
her smile.
her laugh.
her very presence.
her…
with her body projecting this gorgeous and calming energy,
and her smile radiating happiness towards those that witness her beauty,
and her very tongue paraphrasing that of an angels voice;
she is everything and more than what i could have dreamed of.
counting my lucky stars every single day
and pinching myself at the disbelief,
my mind cannot comprehend how blessed i have been.
for my mind cannot understand how out of seven billion people in this world,
i somehow managed to stumble across her…
blessed with her presence,
her beauty and energy,
all i find myself doing
is travelling to the very thought of her.
with this urge in me to spoil, protect, hold her above all else
and show her the pleasures this world has to offer.
all i want to do
is hold that pedestal high and proud,
and show her off to the world around me.
o’ for how i truly am the luckiest soul alive!
seeing her in my dreams
and daydreaming about her whilst in this reality,
there is no-one else i want to spend the rest of my life with…
with my head high up in the clouds
and my body sore from all the pinching i’ve been doing;
may this reality be ours.
for this reality is ours for the taking;
let us grasp her with both hands
and pull her in close;
for let me,
let me simply dream…
you and i,
walking through the gates of hope
and dancing through the field of dandelions,
with that river flowing
and waters edge sparkling from the sun’s rays;
look, look!
look at how the birds are singing and gliding through the sky,
look at the fish dancing and swaying in the rivers clear waters,
look at the nature surrounding us;
for how they are longing for our touch…
for may these dreams turn into reality;
for who ever said dreams aren’t real?
for dreams of all things
are the realest visions our naked eyes can ever see.
look, look my angel,
for this mind of mine daydreams every single day,
and yet every single day i am shown
just how real these dreams are…
after all,
i do have you;
what more proof can there be?
