I've always been a big believer in women empowerment. Helping those around me see the natural beauty in their own skin and feel their own vibrant energy running through their veins. 

For myself, this concept was hard to understand and actually put into practice. Although, as time has passed, and as I found my hobbies, my likes and my interests, all the puzzle pieces started falling into place. And, I soon realised that there is no-one on this earth that I need to make happy, apart from myself.

From the rude waiter, to the rushed business person on the phone whilst at the dinner table, to the people that I see every single day. I do not need your acceptance, your love, or your blessing in order for me to be happy, confident, feel empowered. All these emotions come from me. Me. And, you damn well believe that I am my biggest supporter and side wing woman.

For many, this process of supporting yourself doesn't come naturally. Better yet, I still struggle with this concept, yet this concept is something that has made me into this special young woman today.

Poetry, At The Heart Of Who I Am

In this busy world, where all people ever seem to talk about is work or gossip that they have come across, many simply just want a deep and meaningful conversation. A real connection. And, in my eyes, poetry; poetry is that bridge that connects it all. 

From writing poetry since the age of 17, I soon fell in love with helping others through my poems.

Through my own personal experiences, I created and published my first ever novel, 'Dear Diary'. A self-help novel that can be used for finding yourself and being comfortable within your own skin. Whether that's through self-empowerment, confidence or simply finding your own voice, 'Dear Diary' is a novel that will hold your hand and guide you along your beautiful journey, supporting you through the ups and downs that life may bring.

After publishing 'Dear Diary', I knew there was more for me to do. And, that's when the idea of writing poetry for the purpose of gifts came into play, and just like that, 'It's The Simple Things' was born.
